Throughout this month and days ahead, we shall meet and work with the energies of the Angel of Sagittarius to stimulate the ninth inner Christ power – each a facet in the Glory Body of the One Self. To say it another way, the Mind of Christ within us awakens and confers twelve Soul powers of the True Soul, each a facet of the One Self—the Monad, God within. When fully awakened and operative, we shall be a full Sun.

The Ninth LIGHT and Angel of Sagittarius
9. Sagittarius—A beam of directed, focused Light. In this the point of light becomes the beam, revealing a greater light ahead and illumining the way to the center of the light.
In the above image, the doe standing beside the archer represents the sensitive intuition. Intuition comes from the Soul on the Buddhic Plane, intuitions drop into consciousness, into awareness. Soul Intuitions drop into the mind sometimes softly ... sometimes clearly, like a bell. The Archer and Intuition stand together, side by side, facing forward. The Archer shoots her arrows forward in the direction of the Soul's Goals. Soul goals are always in alignment with the Plan. Soul goals working through a refined, properly aligned and integrated instrument fulfill the Plan of God

“In studying Sagittarius, it becomes obvious that one of the major underlying themes is that of Direction. The Archer is guiding his horse towards some one specific objective; he is sending or directing his arrow towards a desired point; he is aiming at some specific goal. This sense of direction or guidance is characteristic of the enlightened man, of the aspirant and disciple, and this is a growing recognition; when this faculty of sensitive direction is rightly developed it becomes…an effort to identify all soul and personality activity with God's Plan, and this is, in the last analysis, the ordered direction of God's thought.” CONTEMPLATE
“There is no true direction apart from thought, and I would have you remember that thought is power. This is a statement upon which all disciples should ponder, for they can achieve no real comprehension of the direction of God's Plan unless they work with a phase in their own lives which is subject to their own mental direction. Then and only then, can they understand.” [EA, 191] REFLECT: the power upon the Beam is God’s Thought - “God’s Thought is Power”.
“The keynotes of Sagittarius are five in number: 1) Freedom or one-pointedness—the Bow and Arrow [the freedom to be one-pointed when no longer distracted by the pulls/instincts, desires, and wants of the unpurified personality], 2) Human ambition leading eventually to spiritual aspiration, 3) A clear shaft of light which is the intuitive and focused attitude of the pledged disciple, 4) The "returning arrow of the intuition"… [the shaft of the arrow of aspiration is found returned to the sender as the arrow of the intuition leading forward]. Sagittarius is one of the intuitive signs, for only the intuition will suffice to carry a man to the foot of the mountain of initiation in Capricorn, 5) Idealism which is the power to see the vision and to direct one's course towards it.” [EA, 177] REFLECT
“In Sagittarius, the intellect which has been developed, used and finally illumined [through Taurus], becomes sensitive to a still higher type of mental experience and to this we give the name of intuitive perception. There come flashes of light upon problems; a distant yet possible vision of attainment is seen; the man begins to climb out of the depths to which he has descended in Scorpio and sees ahead of him the mountain in Capricorn which he knows he must eventually climb. He walks no longer in the dark, for he sees what he has to do and he therefore makes rapid progress and travels "fast upon the Way."
“…. he travels upon the "wings of the soul" (the winged feet of Mercury, the messenger of the Gods) and becomes, in his own personality, himself the winged God Mercury …. This he does until he has established a balanced relationship between the personality and the soul and can function as either at any desired moment with equal facility.” [180/1]
Sagittarian aspirations are rightly directed desires for the good of the whole and not ‘solely’ for the personal satisfaction of the lower nature. The arrow of desire has turned upwards in service for the greater good. Aspirations give way to Intuition as flashes of light provide the vision of spiritual goals attained (of the future state). One is no longer moved by longing and hope but by a sense of impelling direction. You see a vision of the goal, and the way forward is the intuited sense of direction.

THE POINTERS
The Pointers in the Great Bear point to the Pole star which is at this time a major "star of direction." "Direction, will, purpose and plan" are all connected with the Solar Logos and with His evolutionary undertakings in connection with the many lives manifesting in [His] vehicle of expression which we call the solar system. (EA, 195)
Scorpio governs the Path of Discipleship and is under the influence or in-flowing energy of Sirius. Sirius governs the Path of Initiation. Some among us will note we are engaged in an accelerated process. Walking is symbolic of movement. In Sagittarius, we are walking under Soul direction — as we walk the Soul's Path, we become the Path through complete Soul-infusion and separation ends between the soul and personality.
The prime directive for direction under Sagittarius is: "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all else will be added unto you." The Kingdom of God is the Spiritual Hierarchy—the Kingdom of Souls, under the leadership and Way of the Christ.
CONTEMPLATE: What does it mean to you to first seek the Kingdom of God?
What has been added unto you?
What is no longer part of your journey?
The Pole star gives direction. "The Pointer furthest from the Pole Star in the constellation of the Great Bear is a great reservoir or focal point for divine energy, carrying out God's purpose. The Pointer nearest to the Pole Star is expressive of a lower aspect of the will, which in speaking of humanity we call the self-will." (EA, 196)
The Higher Will relates to Soul direction. Higher Will is all about the will of the Soul directing us toward the fulfillment of the Plan of God.
The Pointers during the Christmas season are significant to our process. They are symbols of direction. We ask, what is our direction? We ask, what is our will? We ask, toward what aim is our will directed? ◊ Is our will in line with the Plan? In what ways is our will fulfilling the Plan, or are we lost and distracted by "the little wills of men"? Are we distracted, or are we Soul-directed? Contemplate.
◊ Ponder on the energy of the will as it relates to Soul Direction. Do you sense the energy of higher will in your life direction? Higher will can be sensed when the Soul is directing the life. "Let the Soul control the outer form, and life and all events."
◊ Harness the will! ◊ How, one might ask. First, look at your choices.
◊ Ponder on who you are most aligned with, walking with. What is their direction?

The New Mind of Christ
We are coming to know the energies of the universe rhythmically throughout the year, which are ever at play within and around us, infusing our awareness with specialized qualities and powers. We learn to make them our own as we 'use these energies at will' following the lead of Adepts in service to the Plan. Spiritual Practices such as those that follow will help pave the way for the inner Christ, a Master, to come forth in full flower—to “appear on stage”, stage by stage, in progressive unfoldments. A Master of Love-Wisdom, a God Man, is made and 'born' over eons of time through concerted effort, Soul-directed living and increasing Identification with Reality.
In you lives twelve major powers (siddhis) that are facets of the One True Soul-Self, reflecting the Glory Body of GOD — "The One About Whom Naught May Be Said". This great Oneness embodies the entire Zodiacal wheel of constellations, and yet is reflected in our very own Being as the Heart in the Head Center.
Each of the 12 Signs corresponds with a Petal or energy inherent within the etheric 12-Petaled "Heart in the Head Center” of the ‘Thousand-Petaled Lotus’ — the Crown Center above the head. As we consciously attune with and access these specific energies within ourselves, the inner Soul Powers will in due time become externalized as our "inherent gifts". The Diamond Soul Practices and contact with the Angel of each Sign is intended to facilitate this process.

We are each a flower of potential — a Flower of God, at various stages of unfoldment. For many, these petals lie dormant and are asleep. When on the accelerated path of unfoldment, invoking the Mind of Christ within, we increasingly awaken the conference of twelve Soul powers of the True Soul. It is our destiny to fully awaken and become operative as radiant Christs — Sons and Suns of the Divine Son of God.

CONTEMPLATIVE Diamond Soul Practices ◊ Sounding a sacred OM, come into conscious alignment with your Soul, the Christ in you ◊ Send forth a ray of lighted Love to connect with the group as a whole ◊ and “the great potency of the inner groups” (the Ashrams of the Christ) and the group or Ashram to which you belong - one of the 49 planned Ashrams of the Christ) ◊ Light a candle, a living flame of Light in your mind to attune with and invite the Angel of Sagittarius to stimulate and unfold the 9th great Light in the center-most 'Heart in the Head' center. Sound a sacred OM. ◊ In this light, let us work with one or more of the following seed thoughts intended to unfold latent Soul powers (we know, we see, we realize, we understand, we bless).

◊ "The Solar Angel remains eternally present—in the past, in the present and on into the future. " "The Solar Angel remains constant both through the exoteric [outer] and esoteric [inner] processes ... as a constant pressure and presence." "Recognize this as a fact and a significant truth." ◊ What comes into the presence of your awareness knowing this is a fact? How is (could this be) significant?
◊ Intuitions are flashes of light conveying a vision of the aspiration attained (in some specific sense) with an impelling energy to proceed in a given direction toward the goals of the Soul. Intuition often arrives as an illumining solution to a problem where one says – “I see!” We learn to move from desire to aspiration to intuition: ‘I want peace and quiet for myself’ (personal desire) to ‘I want peace for my family’ (aspiration) to ‘I see - in a flash of light – peace for my community (an area of influence) and for the world’ (a global aspiration). ‘I now have a clear goal and an impelling sense of direction in how to proceed’. ◊ Think this through with examples of "Soul Goals" in your own life or on the Way ahead.
◊ True Aspiration is for a greater good, ‘the whole’. To be true – the parts in that whole, the individual “you” – are included in that whole. “Nothing for the separated self” has often been misunderstood, creating mis-perception and unnatural “separation”. Individual well-being is a healthy part of the whole when inter-related, integrated and working rightly as one whole beneficiary. ◊ Diamond Soul Practice: See and name (articulate to understand) where separation exists, and where integration is needed; focusing on the subject, extend a ‘Soul-beam of integrating light’ to include, heal, and seal a former separation. Say in conclusion, I reintegrate this (that which had been separated) into wholeness. I proceed forward with Sagittarian speed (God-Speed) to the next Soul goal(s).
◊ With the goal of strengthening ‘true aspiration’, note where “integration with the whole” is currently in place and working well. Then, with Sagittarian vision and ‘sensed Soul direction’, what do you see unfolding?
What is your response?
Is there a new ‘sensed direction’ upon which you can, and will to, act?
Is there refined “movement forward” with an intuitive Soul-goal in hand?
Imagine, Visualize, Apply - make a plan.
◊ “ … When [the] faculty of sensitive direction is rightly developed,” an effort “to identify all soul and personality activity with God's Plan is made”, and this is “in the last analysis, the ordered direction of God's thought.” What does it (would it) mean to rightly develop and fully follow ‘a faculty of sensitive direction?’ Pause to consider this.
◊ See your current life direction. Is it guided by ways of living/being in the world that arise from one’s family, culture, religion, beliefs, fixed ideas or norms that are causing you to pursue or follow pursuits, goals and ways the everyday world and current culture? Are you constrained by boundaries that hold you back from a higher Way? Are they still relevant for you, or have you outgrown certain aspects?
◊ Align with, identify as the Soul with the intention to ‘bringing your personality activities in line with God’s plan’. ◊ Sense the subtle shifts in your awareness as your “life direction” is reconditioned by Soul activity. What would change, what would your life look like if all your personal activities were aligned with a higher Will, with God’s Plan? How would your activities, thought life and interpersonal relationships change?

Then and only then, can they understand.” You would not be involved in Contemplative Soul practices and Esoteric Advent unless you have previously subjected your life to ‘thought that is directed by the Soul' – which is the Mind of Christ directing and influencing direction. ◊ Reflect. Think of aspects of your life, or seasons and cycles of your life that had been subjected to “Soul Directed Thought”. Note its directional power. ◊ Apply “Soul-directed thought” now to areas of your life that would derive benefit from soul-infused mental direction.
◊ Think as the Soul Thinks. The power to think as the Soul Thinks is an earned Soul faculty gained by virtue of practice and application.
◊ The energy of Sagittarius confers the power of Soul-directed Thought, presenting ever-evolving spiritual visions and goals to attain. Invoke the Angel to help you with an aspiration → leading to intuition that has been calling you to act. What comes to mind? Follow the line of directed thought. Note the new energy now available to you.
◊ See yourself inside a clear shaft of light that comes about through soul-orientation and Soul-immersion. Identify as the one-pointed disciple in Sagittarius who sees a Soul goal.
◊ "A clear shaft of light is the intuitive and focused attitude of the pledged disciple." Consider yourself as an evolving one-pointed Disciple preparing to face "the Mountain". ◊ Contemplate. ◊ What comes to mind and heart as you look ahead? ◊ Who is walking with you?
◊ The Angel has the power to confer Spiritual Vision and Direction – to help you see what lies ahead in terms of expanded consciousness and service. Ask the Angel for a vision of the way ahead.
◊ Set an intention to recognize 'intuition impressions' when they arrive, seizing them as 'heaven sent' arrows of soul-direction that are 'yours' ... and to act upon (in right timing). Set a dual intention to recognize ‘the intuition’ when it does arrive through whatever means or form it may come (not solely through thoughts in mind).
◊ "For those in whom the true intuition is the motivating factor and the process of Identification is well under way, the Mind of Christ within becomes an agent for the Saving Force". ◊ Contemplate.
◊ “We are the Ones we’ve been waiting for”. ◊ Contemplate. What does this mean to you?
◊ "From intellect to intuition to consummation as the divine aspiration of the personality "inspired from on high". (EA, 179) ◊ Contemplate. ◊ Visualize this template of the Soul's progress.
◊ Every time we find ourselves "under the influence of Sagittarius it is with the objective of orienting to some new and higher objective, with the task of refocusing towards a higher goal and with the unfoldment of some basic and directing purpose." (EA, 178) ◊ Contemplate. What is it for you?
◊ Impress your mind with the Light of Sagittarius: A beam of directed, focused Light.
◊ Impress your mind with the Keynote: “I see the Goal. I reach that goal and then I see another.” May the words of this final injunction to the disciple carry meaning to the heart and mind.”
◊ Reinforcement. Impress 'yourself' with the energy and key ideas inherent in the ninth petal. Open yourself to intuitive impression. Sound a sacred OM sealing in the new vibration and new awareness.
◊ As we open to the Angel of Sagittarius empowering and releasing the energy of the 9th petal of the Flower of the inner God, we are given true vision born of intuition, and can expect to experience an impelling direction forward.
Let us ride this wave in confident expectation of the next bend in the road upon the upward way of unfoldment.
